Salvia rosmarinus Spenn. / Homotypic Synonyms: Rosmarinus officinalis L., it is a shrub from 50 cm to 1 meter or more, always green, very aromatic, very branchy, very leafy. Leaves evergreen, leathery, sessile, linear, entire, rolled up at the edges, green and shaggy above, white-tomentous below. Pale blue or whitish flowers, sub sessile, close together in small axillary and terminal clusters. Calyx bell-shaped, bi labiate, powdery, bare at the throat, with an entire oval upper lip, the lower with 2 lanceolate lobes. Bi labiate corolla, with protruding tube, helmet-shaped upper lip, bifid, the lower one with 3 lobes, the middle one very broad and concave. 2 stamens, with projecting filaments, inserted at the throat of the corolla, provided towards the base with a small tooth. Anthers linear, 1-celled. Carpels obovate, smooth.  Life Form: N.Ph,   Flowering in: Al.the year,   Vern: Kleel,   Phytochoria: MED, The native range of this species is Medit.   Notes: Wild in Libya, medicinal plant
