Trifolium angustifolium L., it is an annual herb 10-40 cm, stiff, erect, with applied hairs. Leaflets all linear or linear-lanceolate, acute, stipules narrow, with free linear awl-shaped part. Pink flowers, quite small, opening almost at the same time, in large oblong-conical or cylindrical heads, terminal, solitary, pedunculated. Fruiting calyx with oblong tube, hairy-silky, with ciliated teeth, spreading, stiff, linear awl-shaped, slightly uneven, ending in a yellowish, glabrous tip. Corolla roughly equal to the calyx. Seeds 1.83–2.06 x 1.33–1.52 x 0.86–1.13 mm, mostly ellipsoid-compressed. Testa smooth, glabrous, shiny, orange-yellow, areolate. Shallow spinning depression; circular thread, practically pointed, with a very fine edge. Minimal lens, barely discernible under low magnification (<40x), located at c. 0.1–0.15 mm of the thread.  Life Form: Th,   Flowering in: Feb-Apr,   Vern:————–,   Phytochoria: MED, native range is Macaronesia, Medit. to Iran.   Notes: Wild in Libya.
