Leobordea platycarpa (Viv.) B.-E.van Wyk & Boatwr. / Homotypic Synonyms: Lotononis platycarpa (Viv.) Pic.Serm., it is an annual, prostrate or ascending herb, branched,  appressed-pubescent. Leaves 3- foliolate. Leaflets 3-10 mm long, obovate-cuneate to oblanceolate, obtuse, the middle one ± exceeding the lalerat ones, stipules up to 7 mm long. Flowers yellowish-white, 1- 6, c. 1 cm long, sub sessile, leaf-opposed or between 2 leaves, sub umbeuallte. Calyx c. 5 mm long, lateral segments,  twice as long as the lower one, pubescent. Corolla keel obtuse, longer than standard and wings. Pods 5 (-8) x 2 (-2.5) mm, oblong obtuse, sub oblique, 6-10-seeded, pilose towards the apex. Seeds reniform usually wrinkled, small.  Life Form: Th,   Flowering in: Feb-Apr,   Vern:—–,   Phytochoria: SS+SZ+ S, Africa,   The native range of this species is Africa, E. Medit. to Arabian Peninsula, Pakistan.  Notes: Wild in Libya.
