Trigonella gladiata Steven ex M.Bieb., it is an annual herb, up to 5-25 cm, lying or ascending, hairy; leaflets oblong in corner, toothed at the top, entire stipules. Whitish flowers, quite small (8-10 mm), solitary or twinate, sessile in the leaf axils. Calyx very hairy, with equal teeth, shorter than the tube, standard longer than the wings and the obtuse hull. Pods erect, 2-4 cm long, linear-lanceolate, arcuate, hairy 1 with projecting longitudinal veins, ending in a beak 1 to 2 cm long, 4-8 ovoid seeds, strongly tubercular, reddish.
