Kickxia aegyptiaca (L.) Nábělek // Infraspecific: Kickxia aegyptiaca ssp. aegyptiaca , Kickxia aegyptiaca ssp. fruticosa (Desf.) Wickens, it is a perennial herbaceous to woody herb, 15-40 cm long with numerous, spreading rigid branches, densely covered with glandular and eglandular spreading hairs, older ones elongated and spinescent. Lower leaves 10-20 (-25) x 4-5 mm, ovate-oblong, obtuse with 2-4 mm long petiole, upper leaves smaller, 4-8 (-10) x 2-4 mm, triangular, hastate, often with 2 lateral lobes at the base or entire. Flowers yellow, pedicel spreading, rigid, 2-10 mm long, glandular hairy, usually bent upward near the tip. Calyx lobes lanceolate, acute, mucronulate, 4-5 x 1-1.5 (-2) mm, somewhat hairy, with a membranous margin. Corolla pubescent, 10-15) (-18) mm long, (including spur) with somewhat purplish palate, spur curved, 7-9 mm long. Stamen 4-6 mm long; filaments somewhat hairy. Capsule indehiscent, 2 -2.5 mm, globose. Seeds 2-4 per capsule, 1.5 mm, tuberculate, black.  Life Form: Ch,   Flowering in: Nov-May,   Vern:—————,   Phytochoria: SA, The native range of this species is S. & E. Medit. to E. Sahara and Arabian Peninsula.   Notes: Wild in Libya, medicinal plant.
