Astragalus annularis Forssk., it is a small, spreading 10 ascending annual herb, up to 20 cm long, ± spreadingly hairy. Leaves 2-6 cm long, stipules 1-2 mm, triangular, lanceolate, leaflets (1-) 2-4  pairs, 5-7 x 2-4 mm, obovate to oblong-obtuse,  hairy,  peduncles almost as long as subtending leaves. with (1-) 2-5-flowered, terminal racemes. Flowers 6·8 (.10) mm long, pink to pale purple, bracts longer than pedicels, subulale, bristly. Calyx campanulate, black- and white-hairy, teeth almost as long as tube, subulate. Pods 30-50 (-60) x 2.5-4 mm,  spreading, semicircular to almost circular laterally compressed, terminating in a short incurved mucro, appressedly sparsely shon-bristly, glabrescenl al maturilY and with red spots, dorsal suture deeply furrowed, venlral obtuse.  Life Form: Th,   Flowering in: Feb-Mar,   Vern: Kreisha,   Phytochoria: SA, The native range of this species is Algeria to Lebanon and Iran.      Notes: Wild in Libya.
