Dianthus crinitus Sm., it is a robust perennial up to 40. cm tall, with a branched woody stock. Stems erect to ± ascending, simple or branched, greyish-green, glabrous. Leaves 10-50 x 1-15 mm., Life Form: Ch,   Flowering in: Mar-May,   Vern:—————-,   Phytochoria: SA+IT, The native range of this species is N. Africa to Caucasus and W. Himalaya.  Notes: Wild in Libya.
