Medicago orbicularis (L.) Bartal., it is an annual herb, 20-60 cm, lying down, almost glabrous, leaflets obovate in corner, toothed at the top, stipules cut into thin strips. Yellow flowers, small, 1-3 on awned peduncles shorter than the leaf, pedicels longer than calyx tube, wings shorter than the hull. Pods large (10-18 mm in diameter), glabrous or pubescent, non-thorny, lenticular, not or barely perforated in the center, with convex faces provided with radiating veins, with 3-5 whorls, with a flat sub foliate edge, black when ripe, 4-5 seeds in each pod.  Life Form: Th,   Flowering in: Mar-May,   Vern: Nefal,   Phytochoria: MED+SA+IT, The native range of this species is Medit. to W. Himalaya and Ethiopia.    Notes: Wild in Libya.
