| Medicago truncatula Gaertn., it is an annual herb, 20-40 cm, lying or ascending, pubescent. Leaflets obovate in corner, toothed at the top, lacinated stipules. Yellow flowers, quite small, 1-2 on awned peduncles usually shorter than the leaf, pedicels shorter than calyx tube, wings a little shorter than the hull; Glabrous pod, fairly large, sub cylindrical, with flat and smooth faces, with 4-6 tight, equal whorls, with keeled edges, provided with strong, conical, divergent, not hooked spines.
