Orobanche ramosa L., it is a holoparasitic annual plant, stems usually small, thin, often much branched, 5-30 cm tall, swollen at base, glandular-pubescent. Scales ovate to ovate-lanceolate, 3-10 mm long, acute. Spikes (2-) 5-20 (-25) cm long; bracts 6-8 (-10) mm, ovate-lanceolate; bracteoles about equaling the calyx, linear-lanceolate. Calyx 6-8 mm long with triangular teeth, shorter than tube. Corolla up to 15 (7) mm long, glandular-pubescent, sub erect or almost straight, ± inflated at base, tubular-infundibuliform above, whitish at base, white-cream, pale blue or violacecus above; lobes short, rounded, denticulate to almost entire. Filaments glabrous, or hairy at the base, inserted a little below the middle of the corolla; anthers glabrous. Capsules c. 6 mm long.  Life Form: Pa,   Flowering in: Feb-Mar,   Vern: ————-,   Phytochoria: Pal , The native range of this species is Macaronesia, W. & Central Medit. to NE. Tropical Africa.   Notes: Wild in Libya.
