Plantago coronopus L., it is an annual or perennial, acaulescent herb, up to 3-15 (-20) cm tall, hirsute, hairs ± apprcssed. Leaves linear to lanceolate, 1-10 (-12) cm x 1.5-5 mm, pinnate-dentate to 1-2-pinnatifid; lobes linear or lanceolate, acute, rarely entire, glabrous or pubescent. Scapes usually many, 1.5-5 (-8) cm long, decumbent or ascendant, longer or sometimes shorter than the leaves. Spikes narrow cylindrical, dense. Braets ovate, margin scarious, narrow, sub-acute, or abruptly attenuate into a long apex, shorter than or as long as calyx, short appressed hairy. Anterior sepals elliptic, 2-3 mm long, margins scarious, ciliate, keeled, posterior sepals ovate, c. 3 mm long, slightly ciliate. Corolla-tube pilose, lobes ovate-lanceolate, acuminate. Capsule 3-locular. Seeds 3-6. c. 1 mm long, cymbiform. Life Form: Th,   Flowering in: Mar-Jul,   Vern: Krah- digiagia,   Phytochoria: ES+MED+IT, The native range of this species is Europe to Central Asia and W. Pakistan, Macaronesia to Arabian Peninsula.  Notes: Wild in Libya, medicinal plant.
