Plantago phaeostoma Boiss. & Heldr., it is an annual herb, 4-8 cm tall, glandular-pubescent, divaricately branched from the neck. Leaves linear, 1-2.5 cm long, entire. Scapes as long as the leaves or shorter; spikes oblong, 2-14 cm long, dense, hirsute. Bracts oblong-linear, obtuse, shorter than the calyx except the lowest one. Sepals oblong, obtuse, equal. Corolla lobes ovate, mucronate with a showy dark spot in the throat. Life Form: Th ,   Flowering in:————–,   Vern:—————-,   Phytochoria: SA , The native range of this species is Kriti (Koufonisi) to E. Medit.    Notes: Wild in Libya.
