Erodium arborescens (Desf.) Willd., it is a perennial plant, erect, up to 40 cm tall, appressed hairy, basally suffrutescent herb. Tap root long, with interrupted circular tubers. Leaves with (1-) 1.5-8 (-10) cm long, appressed-puberulent to glabrescent petioles, lamina ovate-cordate, 1.5-10 (-12) x 1-7 (-8) cm, thickish, pubescent to glabrescent, irregularly crenate to sublobed, acute. Stipules triangular ovate or oblong, 3-6 x 2-4 mm, densely hairy, brown, narrowly membranous margined, acute. Inflorescence 4-6-flwered umbel, peduncles longer than the subtending leaves, bracts obIong-ovate to +- orbicular, 4-8 x 2-4 mm, partly united at the base, brown, membranous margined, hairy. Flower c. 2-3 (-4) cm, across, pink with deep purple center, pedicels 0.8-3 cm long, puberulent Sepals oblong, 6-10 x 3-5 mm, densely soft hairy outside, sub hooded and mucronate at apex. Petals broadly obovate-orbicular, 10-13 (-20) x 8-12 (-15) mm, with a dark purple spot at the glabrous base, truncate at the apex, Antherless filaments ciliate at the base, anthers squarish-oblong, 2 x I mm, purple. Mericarps oblong-lanceolate, c. 8 mm long, patent hairy, apical pits with 2-furrows beneath each, beak 7-8 cm long, plumose.  Life Form: H,   Flowering in: Jan-Apr,   Vern: Marghed,   Phytochoria: SA, The native range of this species is N. Africa to Israel.   Notes: Wild in Libya.
