Astragalus peregrinus Vahl , it is an annual herb,up to 30 (-40) cm long, prostrate, white-villose .  Leaves (3-)5-10 (-12) cm long, stipules ovate-triangulate. acuminate, villous, leaflets 8-12 pairs, oblong to obovate, emarginated or truncate, hairy beneath (especially on mid-nerve), glabrous or glabrescent above, petiolulate. Peduncles usually somewhat shorter than subtending leaves even in fruits. Flowers 15-18 mm long, white or pink, often with purple spots on keel, on (2-) 3-5-flowered, rather loose racemes. Calyx with white and blackish hairs, teeth subequal, halfe or to nearly as long as tube. Pods often darkish in colour, (25-) 30-60 x 5-7 mm. ± triquetrous with narrow dorsal groove and distinct ventral, somewhat tuberculate or serrulate keel, straight to subarcuate, tapering at top, covered with long, tubercle-based hairs. Seeds many, c. 2 mm. tetragonous when ripe.  Life Form: Th,   Flowering in: Feb-Mar,   Vern:————-,   Phytochoria: SA, The native range of this species is Medit. to Arabian Peninsula.    Notes: Wild in Libya.
