Lotus corniculatus L., it is a polymorphic plant perennial plant from 10 to 40 cm, glabrous or hairy at all degrees, with a hard stem. Stems full or barely hollow, lying or ascending. Leaflets obovate or oblong, stipules oval. Yellow flowers, turning green with desiccation, 3 to 6 on peduncles much longer than the leaf; calyx bell-shaped, with equal teeth, triangular awl-shaped, erect-connivent even in the bud, equal to the tube, wings obovate, with strongly curved lower edge, hull curved almost at a right angle. Pods 20 to 35 mm, linear, a little thick, straight. Seeds light to dark brown, 1-colored or spotted with violet-black spots or dots, small, ovoid, 1-1.7 mm. Life Form: H, Flowering in: Mar-Apr, Vern:————- , Phytochoria: S.Cosm, The native range of this species is Temp. Eurasia, Macaronesia to NE. & E. Tropical Africa, SW. Arabian Peninsula.
