Lotus teniuis Waldst. & Kit. Ex Willd. / Heterotypic Synonyms: Lotus glaber Mill., it is a perennial plant up to 10- 50 cm high. Branches straight, decumbent or ascending, as well as the entire plant glabrous or sparsely hairy. Leaflets of the middle leaves narrow, linear to inverted ovate-lanceolate, 6–15 × 1.5–4 mm, often sickle-shaped. Heads 2-4-flowered, fragrant, long-stalked. Calyx teeth shorter than or as long as the tube. Corolla 10 to 12 mm long, deep yellow, sometimes canopy and wings reddish, canopy incised in front, wings inverted ovate-oblong. Pods 15–30 × 2–3 mm.   Life Form: H,   Flowering in: May-Jul,   Vern:———-,   Phytochoria: ES+MED, The native range of this species is Europe to N. China, N. Africa.   Notes: Wild in Libya.
