Lupinus gussoneanus J.Agardh / Homotypic Synonyms: Lupinus micranthus Guss., it is an annual herb up to 20-40 cm , bristling with long spreading hairs. Leaflets obovate, hairy on both sides. Blue flowers, large, the lower ones alternate, the upper ones irregularly whorled, in elongated, interrupted clusters, pedicels much shorter than the calyx, with linear, persistent bracts. Calyx with unequal lips, the upper bipartite, shorter than the lower trifid. Pods 30-40 mm by 10-12, bristling with long hairs, with wavy upper suture, with 3-4 lenticular seeds, smooth, brownish marbled with fawn.
