Medicago marina L., it is a perennial plant up to 20-50 cm, white-tomentous, with a woody stem, long creeping. Leaflets obovate, wedge-shaped, toothed at the top, stipules entire or toothed. Yellow flowers, quite large, 5-10 in very short clusters on non-awned peduncles as long as the leaf, pedicels shorter than calyx tube, wings longer than the hull. Pods cottony, discoid, open in the center, with 2-3 tight whorls, with thick obtuse edges, provided with spread spines. 1seed in each coil, seeds 3-3.5 x 2 mm, brown.   Life Form: Ch,   Flowering in: Feb-May,   Vern: Nefal,   Phytochoria: MED, The native range of this species is Canary Islands, Medit to Caucasus.   Notes: Wild in Libya, a species occurring in littoral areas.
