Trigonella stellata Forssk., it is a herbaceous species, annual. Stems up to 40 cm long, usually prostrate. Leaves long petiolate, trifoliolate, leaflets obovate, toothed towards the upper half. Axillary inflorescences, almost sessile. Small flowers. Calyx with teeth shorter than tube. Corolla yellow, twice as long as the calyx. Pods slightly curved, somewhat hairy, with prominent nerves, dehiscent along a single suture, giving the overall appearance of a star. Seeds c. 1.2-1.35 x 0.7-0.9 x 0.5-0.75 mm, usually ovoid or ellipsoidal, sometimes rectangular (depending on the position of the seed inside the fruit), asymmetrical, glabrous, matte, and ocher-yellowish in color. Visible, sunken, almost pointed thread. Lens barely prominent, tumular, close to the thread.  Life Form: Th,   Flowering in: Jan-Apr,   Vern:————-,   Phytochoria: SA,    Notes: Wild in Libya, a desert species.
